CLEAN SHOES
The only equipment you are required to bring is a second pair of shoes to change into when you are ready to go on the ice. Please ensure your shoes are CLEAN, since even the smallest amount of dirt or debris will cause damage to the ice surface.

WARM CLOTHES
It will be a bit cool when you're on the ice so make sure to bring along a warm sweater or jacket, warm pants and gloves.

Feeling like a pro? Here are some optional things to bring along with your "A Game".

CURLING BROOM
The Port Arthur Curling Club does supply brooms, but there is not enough for every curler to have their own. If you can bring your own curling broom or can borrow one, please do so. This keep the games going at a good pace since you won't have to share or wait to borrow someone elses broom.

SLIDER
Sliders come in various speeds, shapes and materials. Try to get a slider that provides the least amount of friction and provides the most stability. The Teflon slider is the most common advanced slider and can be used by the novice and advanced curler.

GRIPPER
Curling grippers slip on over your shoe and make moving around on ice very easy. You can also get grippers that permanently attach to your shoes.

DIGITAL CAMERA
Not necessary but we sure would appreciate it if you could take some photos of your teammates while the bonspiel is going on.
